EPDM rubber waterstop for concrete construction joints or expansion joints

Rubber water stop use high elasticity to make elastic deformation under load. Thereby, it could make seal sturdy, and prevent structure leak and seepage in order to shock absorption. 

Rubber water stop is widely used in underground installation, tunnel and culvert, impounding reservoir, metro, and retaining dam and so on.

1. The rubber water stop strip will expand when getting in touch with water, so allowing it to come into closer contact with the concrete, creating a better water-stop result.
2. Different thicknesses structure is adopted for the cross section, which is divided into the high-strength area, the waterproof area and the installation area, allowing for uniform and reasonable stress for all portions.
3. At installation area add installing hole, it could facilitate fixed with adjacent reinforced, and not produce shifting. Construction is convenient, positioning installation is firm.

1. Mixed rubber and metal is only suitable for waterstop with steel edge.
2. If there are other requirements, inspection items can be appropriately added according to buyer and seller. If evaluating mould test in line with users, its anti-mold property should be equal to or above Grade 2.

How to Choose Waterstops:
According to the grade of the importance of buildings, deformation and water pressure, the working condition of the waterstops' application and economic factors.
According to the following provision:
Choose natural rubber waterstop in normal situation
Choose neoprene waterstop when it comes to weak acid and alkaline corrosive medium
Choose butyronitrile rubber waterstop when it comes to oils medium
When waterstop might be eroded by mould, take its mildew resistance into consideration, and its level should reach Grade 2 and above.
Choose neoprene waterstop when the operating temperature is between -25ºC~60ºC, choose natural rubber waterstop when the operating temperature is between -35ºC~60ºC while at -40ºC~60ºC EPDM rubber waterstop should be chosen.
Choose synthetic resin waterstop (EVA,PE,ECB,HDPE,PVC) with the same molecular when welded with waterproof board or other matetrials.
     Other factors
             a. Deformation volume of the deformation joint in horizontal and vertical direction
             b. Water pressure
             c. Size of structure section
Physical and mechanical properties : The rubber waterstop produced in our company is complied with National Standard GB18173.2-2000. The technical requirements of size and tolerance is implemented by National Standard. But if there are special requirements ,we can produce according to customers' requirements.
Product should avoid sunlight during transportation and storage. Do not contact with heat source, oil, harmful solvent and the materials that can affect the quality of rubber. It should be laid vertically. Storage places are better to keep the temperature between -10ºC~+30ºC and the relative humidity between 40%--80%, which should be kept clean.
